its’ science, not just art

Santa Fe Southside Library (New)

This 25,000 square foot library incorporated green design throughout, including passive solar heating and low-maintenance materials, and maximizing performance with limited operating costs.  It is fully daylit, including reading areas, staff work spaces, and stores 30,000 gallons of rainwater for landscape use, of which the urban plaza benefits directly.  Art was incorporated in the overall project.  Design and funded through grants through Art in Public Spaces.
